This bike drive also marks the start of free, Introduction to Triathlon Programs being hosted at 17 YMCA locations across New England. These five-week programs are open to the public, offered at no cost and start the week of June 17, 2013. They include weekly sessions led by professional trainers to help kids gain the confidence they need to become triathletes. “It is amazing that more than 400 kids have already registered for these programs,” commented Linda Montoya, Sport and Recreation Director for the South Shore YMCA. “We are proud to partner with the Patriots to help kids build healthy habits that will last a lifetime.”“This bike drive will help children that might not otherwise be able to participate in this fun and exciting day which encourages the next generation to live healthy lifestyles.”
