My Roosevelt Couch to 5K group is comprised of a group of teachers and staff at a school where I previously did nutrition education classes for the students. Over the last 2 months we completed the program, running with me every Thursday and on their own two other days.
So for Day 2 of 25 Days of Christmas Kindness, the Roosevelt 5K group (Pauline, Mary, and Jen) and I did a 5K for charity!
And let me just say, my Roosevelt 5K group kicked butt in the Jingle Bell 5K at MHS! Their goal was to finish in under 40 minutes and to not be in last place. I told them ahead of time that even last place is still lapping everyone on the couch, so even if that was to occur they’d still be successful.
What are you doing to help benefit others (and in turn, your own mental and physical health) this season?
